[Introduce] Years & Years

Recently, gw lagi suka sama salah satu band dari London (England lagi deh) lol. Namanya Years & Years.

Years & Years

Years & Years ini merupakan band British beraliran electropop dengan campuran R&B dan sentuhan ‘90an. Band trio yang digawangi Olly Alexander (lead singer & keyboardist), Mikey Goldsworthy (bassist) dan Emre Turkmen (synthesizer dan beat) ini sukses manjain kuping gw dengan music khas mereka.

Well, as you know kalau Olly Alexander ini adalah penyanyi sekaligus actor di  UK, yang salah satunya pernah jadi lawan mainnya Hannah Murray di Skins dan God Help the Girl bareng Emily Browning (Sucker Punch). Pertama kali tau Olly ya dari Skins itu, terus pas liat trailer movie The Riot Club ehh dia juga main di situ. Karena penasaran sama cowok ini #halah, gw pun kepo liatin profilnya si Olly. Maka tersebutlah sebuah band Years & Years yang ternyata dia adalah vokalisnya. 

Pertama kali liat Olly di Skins itu biasa aja sih, gak terlalu keliatan ‘wow’ nya. Tapi lumayan manis lah (berkat dua gigi kelinci nya mungkin lols xDDD). Ke-kepo-an gw makin meningkat dan gw coba nyari di youtube, gimana sih suaranya Olly pas lagi nyanyi ? gw pun buka yang judulnya ‘King’ (ternyata itu lagu baru rilis loh, masih anget). DAAAAANNNNN,,,,, gw jatuh cinta sama Olly beneran >////////<

Suaranya lucukkkk,, keren banget.. trus disitu aktingnya jadi model simple tapi GANTENGGGGG  #ohGod_guemulaigila !!!!!!!!!

Years & Years dibentuk tahun 2010, setelah Mikey pindah ke UK dari Aussie dan ketemu lah dengan Emre via online. Pendek kata, Olly bergabung di band sebagai vokalis setelah Mikey dengar Olly nyanyi di kamar mandi (aduh lucunya ini xDD). Band ini awalnya berjumlah 5 orang, bersama Noel Leeman dan Oliver Subria. Dan Leeman meninggalkan band di tahun 2013.

5 tahun ini Years & Years baru ngeluarin satu album yang rilis di tahun ini berjudul Communion. Gw rekomen lagu mereka yang ketjeh badai itu, kayak ‘King’, ‘Desire’, ‘Take Shelter’ sama ‘Real’.
